Another Day In Paradise: Grammar Practice

Age: Older Teens & Adults

The song “ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE” can be used for different purposes. Here, the focus is Grammar & Vocabulary. First, students say which world issue we face nowadays (among poverty, wars, corruption, religious intolerance, homophobia and natural disaters) is the worst and why. Then, they listen to the song and find out what it is about. After that, they talk for some minutes about the topic and finally, on a separate piece of paper, they complete sentences provided by the teacher using Modals of Advice, Possibility and Obligation or Subjunctives in order to express their opinion.
