Misunderstood

Age: Older Teens & Adults

The activity proposed for the song ˜MISUNDERSTOOD” relies entirely on the video. First, students have a little chat on what they were doing on recent specific historical events. Then, they watch the video and, based on the vocabulary presented in the video, they take notes of sentences using Simple Past X Past Continuous. In the end, they share their sentences in pairs.

Another option for the same song is: Students write a creative story based on a list of words provided by the teacher. It would be a good idea to tell students to use simple past and past continuous in their story, since this is what they have in the video. After that, they watch the video of the song and compare their story to the video’s. In the end, they say whether they liked their story better.
