The song “APRIL COME SHE WILL” is used here to practice Modals of Speculation. First, students talk about their favorite month of the year and their favorite season. Then, they listen to the song and try to guess what the author meant when he wrote it. Before they say what they think, the teacher shows them some points of view found in two links provided on the web. After that, and assuming they have practiced modals of speculation long enough throughout these past two weeks, they come up with their own theory using the structure learned.
