Age: Adults

The song “THE WONDER OF YOU” can be used to practice Reported Speech. First, based on a few clues, students guess who the singer is. In case they don´t, they look at a photo of the author´s eyes and try to take a guess again. Then, they listen to the song and identify 5 mistakes. Finally they change the lyrics into the reported speech.


Age: Adults

The activity proposed for the song “ALL BYMYSELF” is the following: First, as a way of reviewing the Reported Speech, students say who they met before class, what they told them and what they were told. After that, they read the short explanation on Reported Speech. Then, they listen to the song and underline the verbs. Finally, they change the lyrics into the Reported Speech.


Age: Older Teens & Adults

The song “YOU MAKE ME FEEL BRAND NEW” allows students to practice the Reported Speech. First, students guess the name of the band. Then, they listen to the song and find out the meaning of a few words and phrases necessary to understand the lyrics. Finally, they change the lyrics into the Reported Speech.


Age: Older Teens & Adults

The song “ALL I HAVE TO GIVE” allows students to practice Reported Speech. The activity proposed here is the following: First, students read a quote from the song and guess the name of the song or the band. Then, they identify the person in the song. After that, they change the song into the Reported Speech.
